Securing New Ground

Securing New Ground, hosted annually in New York City, brings together security industry’s brightest minds and biggest players for top-level information sharing, networking and business analysis. Key speakers at the event highlighted a key trend: understanding end users better. With technology’s rapid expansion of connectivity, inputs, outputs and the “attack surface” increase significantly – so manufacturers need to ensure security is built-in so people feel secure while using products.

At the same time, it’s vital that security measures do not compromise fan experience. Delegates heard how professional sports leagues are working to keep fans safe while offering them the optimal viewing experience at stadiums and arenas nationwide.

TMA Annual Meeting

The TMA Annual Meeting is an intensive five-day conference featuring high-level educational sessions, open networking forums and lively social events aimed at building connections among colleagues from around the globe. Wilcox suggested companies create plans and practice them before consulting outside experts to help formulate and implement such a plan.

IAHSS Annual Conference & Exhibition

IAHSS Annual Conference & Exhibition draws together decision makers from some of North America’s premier healthcare organizations for an event dedicated to security, safety, law enforcement, emergency management professionals in hospitals. IFCPP Annual Conference

The International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection provides professional development, training and certification opportunities, industry insights & analysis of technology trends, best practices in security governance as well as peer networking opportunities to protect cultural properties worldwide. In addition, this organization supports cultural properties through research grants.

SIA GovSummit

SIA GovSummit brings together public and private-sector professionals for high-quality education on security technologies that protect government facilities, employees and facilities. Sessions at this event explore emerging policy trends, the government’s technological requirements and risk landscape shifts. Attendees include federal agency employees, military and law enforcement personnel, state/local government employees as well as congressional staffers.

ISC East

ISC East is the Northeast’s premier security and public safety event, hosted annually by SIA NYC and ASIS NYC at New York’s Javits Center. Exhibitors showcase products at this show as well as host keynote speakers, educational sessions, end user support services, law enforcement personnel/first responder practitioners attend this annual show.

The conference program covers topics in physical security, cybersecurity and public safety from industry experts who will share their knowledge and insights with attendees. Furthermore, this event provides attendees with ample opportunities to network with fellow professionals while gaining invaluable insight into industry trends.

ISC East offers much more than keynote addresses and educational sessions – there’s also a career zone at ISC East to help attendees expand their businesses. Sessions on leadership training, productivity methods and more take place here – there’s even a free headshot studio hosted by Axis Communications!

This year, ISC East will co-locate with Infosecurity North America, featuring an informative conference program and industry experts as well as an expo floor. By co-locating with this event, it will avoid duplicating attendees between both events. In addition, all attendees must have been vaccinated against H1N1 virus and wear masks upon entry to Javits Center.
